Jamie Langenbrunner may return to St. Louis Blues lineup next week

As if the St. Louis Blues look battered by injuries.

They’ve won the last three, are 7-3 of 10, and are sitting pretty at the top of the Western Conference with 93 points, one above the Vancouver Canucks.

St. Louis Today is reporting that Jamie Langenbrunner, and other familiar faces may be back in time for a seven-game road trip for the Blues.

From St. Louis Today:

“I would say we’ve got a number of guys that are ‘next week’ players,” Hitchcock said. “Somewhere on that road trip we’re going to get some additions here. I can’t tell you which (game) …Tuesday, Thursday or whatever, but I would say we’re going to get additions to the group next week.”

The likely candidates to return next week are Huskins, Russell and Langenbrunner.

Hitchcock added:

“Langenbrunner’s timetable was four weeks after fracturing his foot on Feb. 19 and he appears to be on target. He’s experienced some soreness, but ”he was on the ice forever (today) and was much better.”
