Colorado Avalanche to debut Tyson Barrie against Chicago Blackhawks on Tuesday

It may be merely an exchange of rookie defencemen for the Colorado Avalanche, but regardless Tyson Barrie is looking forward to making his calling count.
He’ll suit up for the Avs on Tuesday when they take on the Chicago Blackhawks.
From the Denver Post:
“Great kid with a lot of potential,” Avs defenseman Shane O’Brien said of Barrie, who was one of Colorado’s top preseason scorers. “He’s got a lot of offensive ability, and we’re having some trouble putting the puck in the net right now. So hopefully, he can come in here, play like he has down there and contribute as soon as he can. We’re in a dogfight every night.”
Barrie has five goals and 24 assists in 46 games with the Lake Erie Monsters of the AHL this season.
Meanwhile, rookie Stefan Elliot is the call-down to give Barrie a shot. Elliot chipped in four goals and seven assists in 30 games for the Avs.
