St. Louis Blues, Ken Hitchcock prove to be contenders in loss to Vancouver Canucks

There’s a lot that can be said about the transition of the St. Louis Blues under bench boss Ken Hitchcock.
But maybe what says the most is his record since taking over in early November: 19-5-6.
Not many believed he’d be able to spin around a team battered with injuries under an unsuccessful coaching structure.
So, maybe we can all forget about the unsuccessful campaign in Columbus with his average 126-123-40 record.
Perhaps Hitchcock is channeling his inner-self from 1999 with the Dallas Stars.
Either way, the folks of St. Louis are sure happy to have him on board. A 3-2 overtime loss to the defending Western Conference champions. The Blues are pushing for the top of the Central Division trailing the Chicago Blackhawks (57 points) by one point. Currently, the Blues are third in the West while the Canucks lead the pack with 59 points.
