Chicago Wolves’ Mike Duco gets first win, point as Vancouver Canuck

Mike Duco knows a thing or two about second chances. He’s living it right now on the bottom line with the Vancouver Canucks.
The gritty 24-year-old was called up a few days ago to replace the injured Andrew Ebbett. Duco didn’t waste any time trying to make an impression on the Canucks coaching staff, scrapping twice.
“I feel like in the preseason I might have been trying to do a little bit too much and maybe it had a negative impact on how people looked at me,” said the undrafted 24-year-old who was acquired on July 9 for the rights to Sergei Shirokov. These next couple of games I’ve got to play as physical as possible. I’m not looking to fight but if it comes, it comes and that comes with the physical aspect of the game.”
