The Montreal Canadiens have a knack for playing a part in goalie injuries.
In October, Brian Gionta ran into James Reimer of the Toronto Maple Leafs. And, last night, the Florida Panthers’ Jose Theodore was clipped by teammate Dmitry Kulikov after the Canadiens’ Mike Blunder tried to squeeze in a shot in high traffic, causing Kulikov to tumble in front of Theodore.
Theodore was swept, and landed awkwardly on his leg.
This resulted in being listed out indefinitely with a “lower body injury.”
Here’s the video:
The Panthers may not have its starting goalie back Thursday for a road game against the New York Rangers.
