Going up half the length of the rink on the penalty kill didn’t matter to Marian Hossa of the Chicago Blackhawks on Saturday.
The veteran forward didn’t do anything too special, with all due respect. The complacent St. Louis Blues penalty killing unit just were too far up in an attempt to put on another rush after a Chicago dump.
Duncan Keith tipped the puck and Hossa carried it onward. Hossa had Dave Bolland with him on the penalty kill rush, and, it was a 2 on 1 advantage for the Blackhawks with another lingering St. Louis defender in the back.

But wait, there’s more.
Your Chicago Blackhawks are back at the top of the Central Division with a 16-8-3 record and 35 points, two better than the Detroit Red Wings. They’er also back at top of the Western Conference with the Minnesota Wild.
The Blackhawks won 5-2 as Ray Emery stopped 23 shots.
