Duncan Keith still injured, not playing tonight
Published on November 6, 2011 by admin · No CommentsIt was confirmed early Sunday afternoon that Chicago defenceman Duncan Keith will not participate in the first chapter of the 2011-12 Blackhawks rivalry with the Vancouver Canucks at the United Center.
Duncan Keith will not dress for tonight's game at the United Center when the Chicago Blackhawks host the Vancouver Canucks. He'll shoot for Tuesday in St. Louis against the Blues.
Coach Joel Quenneville said he’ll look for Keith to rejoin the team on its next road trip, which kicks off Tuesday in St. Louis.
Chicago should be more than OK, however, without its star defender, taking into consideration Vancouver’s struggles early on, in part to a heaping pile of injuries.
Alexandre Burrows (back spasms) and Sami Salo (lower body) are questionable both listed as questionable, Mason Raymond (back), Byron Bitz (lower body), Aaron Rome (broken hand) and Steve Pinizzotto (shoulder) are listed on IR for Vancouver.
Roberto Luongo and Corey Crawford will man the net for their respective teams.
